MyGenoRoot is an authorized channel partner of MapMyGenome India Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad — one of India's leading genomics companies. We operate as a platform that provides access to genetic testing services offered by MapMyGenome.
By placing an order through MyGenoRoot, you are engaging with our platform as an intermediary. All genetic tests are processed, analyzed, and reported by MapMyGenome India Pvt. Ltd. under their regulatory and accreditation framework.
- In the unlikely event that MyGenoRoot's business, or a part of it, is sold, merged, or transferred in the future, your account and order information may be included as part of the transferred assets. We will ensure any such transfer maintains the same privacy protections described in this policy.
Medical Disclaimer
- Genetic tests offered on MyGenoRoot are not diagnostic tools and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition.
- Results indicate predisposition or statistical risk only — they do not confirm that you have or will develop any condition.
- Always consult a qualified doctor or certified genetic counselor before making any medical, dietary, or lifestyle decisions based on your results.
- A result showing "high risk" does not mean you will develop a condition. Many factors — including lifestyle, environment, and other genes — also play a role.
- Do not make any medical decisions solely on the basis of these results without professional medical advice.

All genetic tests ordered through MyGenoRoot are processed exclusively at MapMyGenome India Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad.
- NABL & CAP accredited laboratory — Accreditation No. MC-6120
- ISO 15189 certified for medical laboratory quality and competence
- ISO 27001 certified for information security management
- MyGenoRoot operates as an authorized channel partner under a formal commercial agreement with MapMyGenome
- As a channel partner, MyGenoRoot may have access to your test reports for the purpose of delivering results and providing support
Genetic Data Privacy
We take your genetic privacy seriously. The following principles govern how your data is handled:
- Your genetic data is never sold to any third party under any circumstances
- We do not share your information with unaffiliated third parties, except where required by law or where necessary to deliver the service you have requested (for example, sharing with our lab partner MapMyGenome to process your test)
- Data is stored securely within NABL & CAP certified lab systems at MapMyGenome India Pvt. Ltd.
- Your data may be used for research purposes only anonymously and with your explicit prior consent
- All data handling is governed by applicable Indian privacy legislation, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act)
Raw Data Policy
Raw DNA data (FASTQ files) is available only for the following two tests, as a paid add-on selected at the time of purchase:
- Ancestry Test (Genomepatri Heritage)
- Whole Genome Sequencing (WGS)
The add-on price is shown on the test's order page at checkout.
Raw data is not available for any other test on our platform, including Health & Wellness, Fitness & Nutrition, Beauty, Cardio, Medicine, Gut Biome, Aging Report, or any Combo Package — regardless of add-on selection.
Raw data is your property — MyGenoRoot does not share it with any third party. Where available and purchased, raw data can be downloaded from your account dashboard after reports are delivered. MyGenoRoot does not perform independent analysis on your raw data.
Refund Policy
Refund eligibility depends on the test category and stage of processing at the time of cancellation request.
Health & Wellness, Fitness & Nutrition, Beauty, Cardio, Medicine, Ancestry, Gut Biome, Aging Report
- Cancel within 24 hours of ordering: full refund minus ₹1,000 processing fee
- After the lab receives your sample: non-refundable
- Kit must be returned unused for refund to be processed
- If your sample fails our lab's quality check after collection:›Sample fails visual check (e.g. damaged in transit): 100% refund›Sample fails lab quality check (e.g. insufficient DNA yield): ₹1,500 deducted from refund›Lab process fails for a valid technical reason: 50% refund›Alternatively, you may choose resampling (a fresh kit sent to you) for a ₹500 fee instead of a refund
Whole Genome Sequencing, Whole Exome Sequencing, BRCA, NIPT, Cancer Panel, and all other clinical tests
- Cancel within 2 hours of sample collection: ₹1,000 deducted from refund
- Cancel within 24 hours of sample collection: ₹1,500 deducted from refund
- After sample processing begins: non-refundable
- If your sample fails our lab's quality check after collection:›Sample fails visual check (e.g. damaged in transit): 100% refund›Sample fails lab quality check (e.g. insufficient DNA yield): ₹1,500 deducted from refund›Lab process fails for a valid technical reason: 50% refund›Alternatively, you may choose resampling (a fresh kit sent to you) for a ₹500 fee instead of a refund
Stay Young, Discover Yourself, Strength & Skin, Risk & Response, Longevity Blueprint, Complete Omics
- The same refund rules as above apply per individual test included in the combo
- If one test in a combo has been processed, only the remaining eligible tests may be refunded
Shipping & Delivery
- Test kits are delivered within 2–3 business days across India after order confirmation
- The customer is responsible for collecting the sample and returning it to the lab after collection
- A prepaid courier return label is included in the kit for easy sample return
- MyGenoRoot is not liable for delays caused by courier services or incorrect address information provided by the customer
- Samples must be collected and sent back to the lab within 6 months of receiving your kit. Kits not returned within this window cannot be processed, and no refund will be issued for expired kits.
User Responsibilities
- Provide accurate personal and health information when registering and placing an order — inaccurate information may affect test results
- Maintain one account per person — sharing accounts is not permitted
- Do not misuse the platform for fraudulent, unlawful, or harmful purposes
- Keep your account credentials secure and notify us immediately of any unauthorized access

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Amaravati, Andhra Pradesh.
